Amanda is a passionate and curious psychotherapist with a goal of creating a safe and supportive environment that allows individuals to explore themselves while leaning into their strengths. She recognizes that life can be overwhelming with stressors in various areas including relationships, employment, media overload, and life transitions. Amanda's goals are to guide individuals through symptom management with the use of evidenced-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Systemic Psychotherapy, Motivational-Interviewing, and Person-Centered Therapy. In her clinical practice you can expect Amanda to work with you to set the tone for the therapeutic space, work at a pace that is both empowering and trauma-informed, and collaborate towards increased self-awareness and positive changes.
After completing her Bachelor's Degree at Westfield State University, she continued her studies at WSU later obtaining her Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW). Amanda carries her LCSW and has worked in various community mental health settings including homeless shelters with integrated behavioral health services, Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CBHC's), and emergency departments providing crisis services. Work in these settings has provided Amanda with the privilege of treating individuals with a variety of backgrounds, thus leading her to further appreciate the complexity of our stories and the unique strengths that they bring to our lives.
