Anjali has lived and worked in the Pioneer Valley for several decades. She has worked in many environments including residential, school, day support, hospital and community outpatient settings. These diverse sites have enabled Anjali to work with people from different backgrounds, with unique needs and abilities. This has helped inform her practice. She engages with people, knowing that they have their own set of strengths and challenges.
With a strong generalist background, Anjali has focused on recovery supports and addiction. She uses a lens that encompasses current and historic events that impact a person’s life satisfaction and functioning. She utilizes multiple modalities including brief-solution focused therapy, CBT/DBT and trauma-informed strategies such as EMDR.
Anjali is comfortable incorporating mind-body techniques with traditional talk therapy skills. She has supported people who identify as neurodivergent and their families. She has incorporated sensory skill work into her practice, believing that we all benefit from an ability to understand our physical reactions to stress. Lastly, Anjali uses a framework of resilience, to promote our ability to address adversity, now and in the future.
