JOB OVERVIEW: As Clinical Supervisor of APP Hadley is a leadership role responsible for providing clinical supervision and clinical consultation, including oversight and signing of clinical documentation, helping to onboard new clinicians, and participating in the Utilization Management team. The Clinical Supervisor will also have a capacity of 15 billable clinical hours per week. As a member of our dedicated team, the Clinical Supervisor will provide and ensure high-quality therapeutic services to clients while upholding the ethics and standards of their licensure and profession.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct and non-direct Clinical Supervision - Approx. 20 to 25 hours per week:

  • Provide weekly supervision for unlicensed psychotherapists to support their progression toward licensure, including auditing and co-signing documentation like notes and treatment plans in accordance with APP’s documentation standards.

  • Provide bi-weekly or monthly consultation to fully licensed team members.

  • Offer guidance during challenging client situations, ensuring adherence to ethical and professional standards.

  • Empower psychotherapists by fostering their growth, autonomy, and confidence in their roles.

  • Monitor and ensure psychotherapists' compliance with professional codes of ethics and organizational policies.

  • Inspire psychotherapists to meet session count goals and comply with clinical policies, including documentation standards.

  • Participate in Clinical Team and Supervisor Meetings to receive support in your role, collaborate with fellow supervisors and Directors, and gain consultation for your own cases.

Direct Clinical Services - 15 hours per week

  • Maintain a caseload of 15 clients per week or 720 client sessions per year, demonstrating a consistent commitment to providing direct psychotherapy services.

  • Deliver psychotherapy to clients in alignment with APP’s clinical guidelines, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices and ethical standards.

  • Serve as a model of clinical excellence for the team, exemplifying high-quality care and professional responsibility.

Team Culture and Diversity

  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive environment that reflects APP’s mission and values, embracing diversity and fostering team collaboration.

  • Encourage open communication, shared goals, and a supportive workplace culture.

  • Build strong relationships within the clinical team to ensure a sense of belonging and mutual support.

Recruitment and Psychotherapist Support

  • Partner with HR to interview and select candidates who align with the site’s goals and APP’s values.

  • Provide ongoing coaching and guidance to new psychotherapists post-onboarding, ensuring their seamless integration and long-term success.

Policy Support, Advocacy, and Communication

  • Uphold, support, and communicate APP policies and procedures as a representative of the Clinical Leadership Team.

  • Ensure that all psychotherapists understand and adhere to organizational policies to maintain consistency and quality across the practice.

  • Gather and synthesize insight, feedback, and innovative ideas from the clinical team to share with the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to APP’s growth, enhancing the quality of psychotherapy provided, and ensuring psychotherapists' needs and perspectives are effectively advocated for.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)

  • Current and valid LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) licensure in Massachusetts

  • 5+ years of experience post Master’s Degree providing psychotherapy to diverse populations

  • Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic approaches; certifications in various modalities are a plus

  • 3+ years of experience providing direct clinical supervision to psychotherapists

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills

  • Proficiency in Google Suite, electronic health records, and other workflow software

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development

  • In-depth understanding of professional ethics and legal requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building rapport with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders

Position Details:

  • Type: Full-time, salaried (40 hours/week)

  • Salary: $72,000 – $78,000, based on experience

  • Paid Time Off: Three weeks of PTO annually
