As a clinician, Joey orients toward the ongoing legacy of all that each patient has learned and inherited in their life. Manifestations of history in the present can be both indicative of strengths in addition to adaptations that may not feel sustainable or desired in the long run. In treatment, Joey works to attend to the present impacts of early relationships and environments in order to help patients hold both their internal experiences as well as their relationships with care and nuance.

Joey aims to support a process that allows patients to recognize deeply held beliefs about themself and their relationships. Joey collaborates with each patient to build a sturdy and playful connection that opens possibilities for new and deeper relating.

Joey has a psychodynamic background from their education at the Smith School for Social Work and is in training in modern group psychoanalysis at the Center for Group Studies. Joey sees individuals and leads interpersonal process groups.
