As a therapist, Kate creates a warm, grounded space where clients can feel supported in exploring their experiences with curiosity and compassion. Her work is rooted in a relational, anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed framework, with a focus on building a trusting therapeutic relationship where clients can feel seen, heard, and empowered in their own process. Kate believes in each person’s right to self-determination and in the healing that can come through meaningful connection, both with the self and with others.

Kate takes a client-led, integrative approach to therapy, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and narrative-based modalities. She also incorporates somatic and grounding techniques, recognizing the important connection between the mind and body and the ways that experiences can be held and expressed beyond words. Her style is warm, laid-back, and compassionate, and she strives to meet each client where they are while creating space for both exploration and growth.

With a background in sexual and domestic violence counseling, Kate is passionate about supporting clients as they navigate trauma, life transitions, grief, and the ongoing process of developing greater insight and self-understanding. She believes that therapy does not require having all the answers, but can instead be a space to slow down, make sense of our experiences, and explore what healing and meaningful change might look like for each individual.

Kate earned her MSW from Simmons University School of Social Work and her BA from Union College.
