Katelyn believes therapy works best as a collaborative journey, where clients and she work together to navigate challenges, uncover strengths, and foster growth. She creates a warm, supportive, and trauma-informed space where clients can feel safe to explore their experiences, process emotions, and discover new ways to cope.
In sessions, Katelyn takes a person-centered approach, meeting clients where they are and tailoring therapy to fit their individual needs. She draws from evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness, and somatic-based techniques that help clients tune into the connection between mind and body. This combination allows clients to process trauma, manage stress, navigate mood disorders, substance use, grief, anxiety, depression, and life transitions, and develop practical tools for daily life.
Katelyn brings a broad range of experience, including community mental health, higher levels of care such as inpatient and partial hospitalization, and care management. She has supported clients through complex challenges, helping them access resources, coordinate care, and build strategies that feel realistic and effective for their lives.
She believes that one of the bravest things we can do is explore and understand our own story. Katelyn feels honored to accompany clients on this journey, supporting them as they cultivate self-awareness, resilience, and meaningful change.
Katelyn earned her Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from Westfield State University and her Master of Social Work (MSW) from Springfield College School of Social Work.
