My clinical work is grounded in relational, psychodynamic, and anti-oppressive theories. I listen closely to what you share, getting to know how you experience yourself and others. I also pay attention to patterns that may echo your early history, while considering the influence of social structures and cultural beliefs. Together, we work to explore what may have been difficult to think or feel through before, using our relationship to support and facilitate this process. This approach can deepen your self-awareness, open up new possibilities for making intentional choices, and help you feel more spontaneous and connected.
I especially enjoy collaborating with clients who want to address relationship issues, identity development, life transitions, sexual health and wellness, grief, and depression. Before joining APP, I worked as a hospice social worker, providing care for terminally ill individuals and their families. I’ve worked as a clinician and trainee at Haverford College Counseling and Psychological Services, supporting college students and receiving psychodynamic therapy training that emphasizes the here-and-now unfolding of unconscious material in the therapeutic relationship. I have also worked as a trauma-informed somatic bodyworker.
I hold a master’s degree in clinical social work from Bryn Mawr College and completed a post-graduate fellowship at the Institute of Contemporary Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. I am currently furthering my studies in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at The William Alanson White Institute and pursuing training in modern group process at the Center for Group Studies.
