Supporting Healthy Relationships, Sexuality, & Intimacy

Sex, intimacy, and relationships are core to our well-being—but they can also be difficult to navigate. At the Relationship & Sex Therapy Institute (RSTI), we provide specialized support for individuals, couples, and other relationship constellations across a wide spectrum of identities and experiences. Our therapists bring expertise in evidence-based approaches and a commitment to affirming care that recognizes the richness of human diversity.

What We Offer

Relationship Therapy

Relationship therapy focuses on the emotional, psychological, and relational aspects of romantic partnerships. It’s designed to help people strengthen connection, improve communication, navigate life transitions, and heal from relational wounds.

Common areas of focus:

  • Strengthening intimacy and connection

  • Conflict resolution and communication

  • Navigating non-monogamy and polyamory

  • Healing from relationship trauma

  • Affirming gender transitions within relationships

Sex Therapy

Sex therapy is a specialized form of psychotherapy focused on sexual well-being, desire, and function. It may include individual, couples, or multi-partner sessions.

Common areas of focus:

  • Desire discrepancies and mismatched libidos

  • Sexual functioning challenges (desire, arousal, orgasm, pain)

  • Out-of-control sexual behavior

  • Sexual exploration, kink, and BDSM

  • Healing from sexual shame and trauma

  • Navigating the impact of gender and sexual orientation on intimacy

Important Note: Sex therapy never involves physical contact with the therapist. Therapists may recommend activities to try at home, but clients do not engage in sexual activity during sessions.
