What is Sex Therapy?
Sex therapy is a specialized form of psychotherapy focused on sexual well-being, desire, and functioning. It may include individual, couples, or multi-partner sessions.
Common areas of focus:
Desire discrepancies and mismatched libidos
Challenges with sexual functioning (desire, arousal, orgasm, pain)
Out-of-control sexual behavior
Sexual exploration, kink, and BDSM
Healing from sexual shame and trauma
Navigating the impact of gender and sexual orientation on intimacy

Therapy does not involve physical contact between therapist and client.
Clients who are partners never engage in sexual activity during sessions.
