Tara is a psychotherapist with experience supporting individuals across the lifespan from childhood through adulthood. She has worked with individuals and couples in a variety of settings, including schools, college counseling centers, group practices, and intensive outpatient programs. Tara approaches therapy from a psychodynamic perspective, drawing especially on relational and attachment-based theories. As a social worker, she thoughtfully considers the broader contexts that shape people’s lives, including family systems, social structures, and intersecting identities. She is committed to practicing within an anti-oppressive framework and strives to create a therapeutic space that is attuned, collaborative, and grounded in empathy, care, and honesty. Tara holds a Master of Social Work from the Smith School for Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts from Colorado College. She completed a one-year post-graduate fellowship at the Northampton Center for Couples Therapy and is a current participant in the Austen Riggs Online IOP Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Training Certificate Program.
