Brigid combines academic, lived, and clinical experiences to create a client-focused therapeutic environment based on collaboration and community. Her training has centered on working with queer and trans adolescents and young adults, as well as partnership work, including monogamous, ENM, and poly relationship constellations.

In her clinical work, she believes in the strength of authenticity, connection, warmth, and empathy. Brigid primarily draws on narrative, dialogic, and relational approaches in her clinical work. As many couples-centered modalities are based on a monogamous heterosexual model, Brigid actively works to queer theories, such as Gottman, to create an expansive view of partnership work. Anti-oppression, social justice, and intersectional feminist lenses are also central to her practice.

Brigid’s interests include sex therapy, working with couples and partnerships, supporting clients in their exploration of gender and sexuality, and those in alternative family structures. Within partnership work, her areas of interest include sex and intimacy, as well as those looking to explore and deepen alternative relationship structures.

Brigid holds a BA in Gender Studies from Smith College and earned her MSW from Smith College School for Social Work.
