Kai Pratt, MSW, (he/they) is a longtime educator and care worker dedicated to supporting others in their processes of self-exploration and holistic healing. He was clinically trained at the Smith College School for Social Work and has previously worked as an outdoor educator, youth mentor, housing advocate, case manager, and psychotherapist in a wide variety of settings.

Kai’s approach to therapy is compassionate, strengths-based, person-centered, and trauma-informed. They are passionate about helping others in their self-growth and attentive to the many ways family systems, structural forces, and culture can aid or impede that growth. Based on collaborative treatment planning, Kai uses a combination of approaches such as Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), somatic experiencing, mindfulness practices, and psychodynamic theory.

Kai is guided in his work by theories and values of reciprocity, kinship, community, storytelling, creative expression, and collective liberation. He believes individual dignity, worth, and wellness are our human birthrights.
